Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar are bonding like best buddies while shooting their film ‘Action Replay’.
The last time they faced the camera together was for Rajkumar Santoshi’s film Khakee in 2004. After five years, Ash and Akki now team up for director Vipul Amrutlal Shah ’s film Action Replay .
The duo had lately been abroad for their respective commitments. Ash was walking the red carpet in Cannes while Akki was shooting Priyadarshan’s De Dana Dan in Singapore. Earlier this week, they returned to India to begin shooting for ‘Action Replay’.
But before beginning to shoot, Akshay and Ash had some personal things to attend to. He surrendered before Vakola police in Mumbai in connection with an obscenity case, while she took out time from her busy schedule to visit her parents.
As soon as the two stars came together to shoot ‘Action Replay’ at Nitin Desai studios in Karjat on the outskirts of Mumbai, they bonded like close friends. A number of pics shot on location show Ash and Akki holding hands and enjoying each other’s company. One set of images have the duo sitting together on a swing. It goes without saying that this sparkling chemistry will work to the film’s advantage.
‘Action Replay’ is a unique story that moves backwards in time. Director Vipul Shah has downplayed any similarities with this year’s Oscar-nominated film ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ which was about a man who ages in reverse – from an aged man to a young kid.
